Hailing from the Midwest, Pat earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. While at Miami, he raced for the University's cycling team, helping lead the team to victory in the Midwest Regional Championship Team Time Trial. In his junior and senior years, the team was ranked in the top 10 nationally, and was selected to race in the Collegiate National Road Race Championships.
After graduating, Pat spent nearly ten years working in marketing and ebusiness for various companies. During that time he continued to compete regularly at an amateur level. While competing he had the opportunity to work with various coaches and conditioning experts and studied as much as possible, from cycling and endurance athletics to exercise physiology, nutrition, weight training, and sports psychology. Pat quickly became a certified personal trainer as well as a licensed coach with USA Cycling.
Recently, he added the distinction as a Certified Power Based Training Coach also with USA Cycling.
Pat works with fitness conscious individuals from all walks of life and has trained athletes who specialize in soccer, lacrosse, and hockey. He continues to coach and train all levels of cyclists including several State, National, and World champions and medalists. Pat also presents and lectures at several clinics and training camps throughout Southern California.
His goal is simple. Pat aims to help others achieve improvements in their physical, mental, and emotional health and performance by encouraging exercise, fitness, and competition. |
