Our signature Optimal Performance Bodywork (OPB) massage is a combination of specific structural soft tissue work designed to rid the body of pain, increase flexibility, “open” the body up, improve speed and sports performance, and improve your overall well being. This work was created by Fitness Quest 10’s owner, Todd Durkin, after a long journey of healing his own serious back injury resulting in a hit while playing professional football.
Optimal Performance Bodywork combines Rolfing, Structural Integration, Zen Bodytherapy, Feldenkrais, Soft-Tissue Release, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation stretching as well as blending a variety of powerful bodywork. All staff is trained in Optimal Performance Bodywork and is capable of providing long-lasting results.
Todd continues to OPB workshops around the country to massage therapists, personal trainers, chiropractors, and physical therapists and is a continuing education provider for the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. Durkin, who earned his Master’s degree in Biomechanics/Sports Medicine, also wrote his master’s thesis on “The Physiological and Psychological Effects of Therapeutic Massage on Stress and Anxiety.” He and his staff are recognized as one of the finest in the nation. Fitness Quest 10 and its staff was voted the “Best Place in the U.S. to receive a Sports Massage” in 2006 by Men’s Health magazine.

She’s magical! There’s a high, feel-good energy at Fitness Quest 10, and even though I’m not there to work out, the trainers and the rest of the staff are very friendly too.” - Laura Passanisi, Administrator
