Matt Brown
Matty Matt Brown earned his Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Fitness, Nutrition, and Health from San Diego State University. Matt holds a CSCS and  NSCA - CPT credential. Matt competed in athletics from a very early age, from soccer to baseball, and eventually to high school football and track where he was a standout athlete in both. After graduating from high school Matt turned his focus from competing in sports to understanding how the body functions both during sports and everyday movement. He believes the body is an amazing organism and his passion ever since high school was to learn how this organism functioned both in high performance and everyday life.

Matt joined the FQ 10 team in 2009 after an intense year long internship. During his internship Matt worked with a variety of athletes, but most of his time was spent with the Scripps Ranch High School football team, under strength coach Ryan Burgess. Matt believes not only in getting his “hands dirty” by being involved as much as possible with coaching, but also being an example to his clients. He is in constant pursuit of improving his own physical strength and conditioning level, as this has been his main means of practical learning and education.

Currently, Matt is continuing his passion to learn about the body by attending IPSB
(International Professional School of Bodywork) in Pacific Beach. He hopes to one day “give back” and teach through the learning experiences he has already came by and will continue to come by through his own training, as well as from others in this great field. On his free time, Matt enjoys eating, reading, watching movies, and being with family.

His favorite quote,
“The only things that stand between a person and what they want in life are the will to try it, and the faith to believe its possible.” - Rich Devos
