 Pilates Mat at Fitness Quest 10 Some people think that Mat Pilates is easier than using equipment. Those people that do Mat training correctly learn that it can be extremely beneficial and challenging. Mat work is an essential component and foundation to all of Pilates.
Mat classes focus on strengthening the entire body, alignment and posture, improving abdominal and lower back strength, and on spine stabilization in a gentle yet powerful fashion. Mat class is designed to “lengthen” tight muscles and “strengthen” weak muscles. Most mat exercises combine both strength and flexibility, making the exercise a great value to all participants.
Our Mat classes are a great way to get in a challenging workout in a small, friendly group setting. Many of our clients do a combination of Mat Pilates along with their private or semi-private sessions.
Mat classes are recommended for healthy individuals with limited orthopedic issues.
Mat Pilates Class Schedule: Monday 6pm/ Instructor Chris Jarrell Power Pilates/Pilates Bootcamp- This class not only focuses on challenging exercising using all equipment (BOSU’s, swiss balls, foam rollers ,reformers, cadillacs, and chair), but we incorporate cardio-type exercises throughout the class to make sure you are getting that HR up and a nice glow!
Tues.,Thurs. 6pm & Thurs. 9:30am/Instructor Andrea Krakower Pilates Fusion Circuits- The “fusion” of this class is the big surprise, keeping you on your toes, we will do a variety of exercises. Making sure you get the total body workout using Pilates exercises incorporating balance, coordination, core stability, and much more! Please check the Requirements for this class down below.
Saturday 8:30am/ Instructor Chris Jarrell Classic/ Traditional Mat Pilates-This is the perfect class to remind you how important the Principles of Pilates are in order to get a true Pilates workout. This class will challenge you from feet to fingertips and focus on abdominal and lower back strengthening, overall strength and flexibility, and leave you feeling energized and balanced.
Wednesday 6pm/ Instructor Chris Jarrell Target “Your” Troublezones-We all know what this is about because we all “think” we have them. This class will do exactly what it says! Pilates exercises will be based on tightening up those glutes, strengthening the abs, inner thighs and yes the upper body as well! Come join the fun and watch the inches melt off those hips, glutes, arms, and abs. |
