Jamie is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she graduated from Marquette University with degrees in Exercise Science and Psychology. She was a scholarship athlete and competed in Cross-Country and Track at Marquette and was very involved in the athletic department. Jamie moved to San Diego where she received her Master of Arts degree in Sport Counseling from San Diego University for Integrative Studies where she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology specializing in Sport Psychology. Prior to her move Jamie was assistant coach for a high school girls track and cross country team where she oversaw the distance running program and developed performance enhancement, injury rehabilitation, and mental health programs for the team. Her area of specialty involves dealing with the difficulties and challenges involved within sport, particular how to deal effectively with stress.
Jamie was a graduate of Lakeside School of Massage Therapy where she completed a 750 hour program to become a licensed massage therapist. After graduation she worked at Massage and Skin Care Services where she specialized in Swedish, deep tissue, Hot Stone, and sports massage. Jamie is nationally certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and also holds a professional member status in the American Massage Therapy Association. Jamie has a strong desire to make a difference and is very passionate about helping others. Her intention is to positively affect people’s health and well-being through a balanced and individualized approach. |
