What makes your staff unique and
Most importantly, our staff is passionate about what they do. We want to do everything we can to help you achieve and maintain your desired goals. Their passion drives them to stay updated on the latest and greatest training techniques, attending and presenting fitness workshops at educational conferences all across the country to find out what we can do to serve you most effectively. All of our staff have educational backgrounds, and are certified and degreed in their field, from biomechanics, kinesiology and physiology to anatomy and massage therapy and continue to gain experience studying under Todd Durkin.
Each staff member has their own unique niche, and we are able to match you up with the right person whether you are training for sports performance, trying to reduce chronic pain or stress, reach a desired goal and/or just stay motivated.
Todd’s guidance and energy keeps clients and staff motivated and inspired.
Not only is Todd experienced in working with high profile athletes, but he has won various awards to include the American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer of the Year Award, 2005, as well as the IDEA Health & Fitness Association Trainer of the Year Award, 2004.
Do I have to train alone, or am I able to train with others/bring a group of friends?
We offer private training sessions, as well as group sessions. Our trainers are able to train up to a group of 5, if you should so choose. This is a great way to stay motivated and a great idea if you’re on a tight budget. If you have a friend in from out of town, you are more than welcome to bring them in. Come in a little bit early, as they will be asked to fill out a waiver.
What makes Fitness Quest 10 so great?
Fitness Quest 10 isn’t just your typical “gym.”
We offer a high energy, state-of-the-art equipment and a positive family environment for our clients.
Our staff is constantly educating their clients on the positive changes they are making in their bodies/lives, as well as going the extra mile to motivating you and make sure you are on the right track to getting where you want to be.
Do you provide nutrition/meal plans for your clients?
We work in conjunction with a company called Optimal Nutrition that is able to provide you with nutritional guidance. They consult with you and, based on your specific information and goals, they provide you with the proper meal plans as well as deliver fresh, pre-packaged and prepared food.
This is a great option for clients who don’t have a lot of time to prepare their own meals and are always on the go.
I want to lose weight. What would be the best program for me?
A big portion of weight loss is the combination of resistance training, aerobic conditioning and nutrition. With our new facility, we are now able to perform metabolic testing on each client that walks through our doors. This will allow us to measure your resting metabolism (how many calories you burn at rest), determine your proper training zones for weight loss, as well as your caloric needs. In turn, we can provide specific details to our outsourced Nutritionists to create a meal plan tailored to achieve your desired results and incorporate nutrition into your program. For more details and rates, please see the front desk. When you are part of our program, you will receive a comprehensive, detailed program to optimize your results.
What kind of programs do you offer for specific sports improvement?
We have a variety of sports specific programs/camps that focus on speed, agility and quickness and strength training to improve your game as well as individualized sports-specific training.
Camps are usually grouped by age, and sometimes sport, and are either conducted on-site or a nearby facility, depending on group size and equipment.
For more details, please contact Brett Klika, Director of Sports Performance.
If you’re interested in our football programs or camps, please contact our Director of Football, Vince Gabriele.
Am I able to come to the center and work out on my own time?
Due to limited space, we reserve space to work out for our members and people receiving their sessions. If you are interested in finding out more about our membership packages, please contact Julie Wilcox or Catherine Dooley for rates and details.
How do I schedule an appointment for a massage, personal training session, or service at Fitness Quest 10?
Please call us at 858-271-1171 and our staff will help determine your needs and match you with the right therapist or trainer. We also invite you to come in for a complimentary consultation to see our facility, have us answer any questions and begin to implement a game plan for your success.
What is the purpose of a consultation? Can I just start working out today?
Before starting an exercise program, it is important for us to understand your medical and physical history. Clients may have a medical condition they may not be aware of and your safety comes first. In addition, we really want to get to know you and get a better understanding of your long term goals so that we can match you up with the right staff member. We can certainly schedule a consultation within 24 hours of calling and will do our best to get you started as soon as possible.
