Emily Newton

Emily is one of our Directors of First Impressions.  She is originally from Maine and made the move to California as recently as November 2007.  She went to prep-school at Phillips Exeter Academy and then moved to Saratoga Springs, NY to attend Skidmore College.  There, Emily received her BA, majoring in both Dance and English, concentrating in classical ballet and poetry. After graduating she returned to her Maine roots, and then in fear of another frigid winter and in want of a change she made the cross country jump to San Diego.  She plans to return to school but is still debating upon which subject she wants to study.

Emily loves the ocean and is eager to learn to surf this summer as she finally lives next to a body of water warm enough to swim in!  She is very active as she is constantly running or working out at FQ10 or taking dance, yoga or Pilates classes in the SD area.  Writing and reading keep her mentally stimulated, and she has just taken on the job of Editor in Chief of the TD Times!  She looks forward to exploring the State of California as she settles in so let her know your favorite spot on the West coast!
