From Rolf to Feldenkrais to Tanouye Roshi. This book covers structural integration, functional integration and awareness through movement, and zen bodytherapy.
Zentherapy releases the natural form of the body from blocks caused by physical, psychological and spiritual trauma. These blocks prevent the free flow of energy through the body. The hands-on, deep tissue work aligns the body's physical structure and eliminates the blocks in muscles, joints and connective tissue. As the body's structure is balanced, pain is relieved, movement is easier and vital energy("Ki") increases.
The therapy takes place over 10 sessions to be completed in the client's own time frame. Zentherapy works through the body from top to toe - the practitioner working with the client, locating blocks, moving tissue and creating more body awareness.
Enlightened Zen Master Tenshin Tanouye Rotaishi developed Zentherapy with his student William "Dub" Leigh, a master healer who was Ida Rolf's protege for 12 years and one of Moshe Feldenkreis's students for 10 years. Dub worked with Tanouye Rotaishi to blend Zen Focus and energy with Western Bodywork techniques to create Zentherapy.
