B.S. EXERCISE SCIENCE, ACE, CSCS
Doug Balzarini, a Massachusetts native, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Business Management from Westfield State College. During his senior year internship he worked as a Fitness Consultant and Personal Trainer for the ‘Fitness First’ health club in Feeding Hills. Since moving to San Diego he has completed some graduate work in Biomechanics at SDSU as well as earning the following:
ACE Personal Trainer certification;
NSCA-CSCS certification;
Spinning certification;
GRAVITY Instructor Training;
FMS (Functional Movement Screen) Training;
CPR/AED instructor status
Prior to working at Fitness Quest 10, Doug worked for the American Council on Exercise as the Continuing Education Coordinator where he was responsible for managing over 400 continuing education providers. He attended countless fitness workshops and conventions all over the country assisting customers with their fitness needs.
In his spare time he actively volunteers for organizations such as Operation FitKids (OFK) and the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). He also enjoys biking, hiking, running, inline-skating, and playing sports such as soccer, golf, and basketball.
His wish is that all clients achieve their attainable goals and that this healthier way of life becomes a lifestyle change.
