 Christiane Jarrell was born, raised and educated in scenic and historic Frankfurt, Germany. In 1996 Chris moved from Frankfurt to Flagstaff, Arizona to flex her entrepreneurial spirit and start a full-service touring company for visitors to the Grand Canyon. Starting from the ground up with one company van, a friendly attitude and a desire to master a second language, American Dream Tours, Inc. is now the largest tour operator to the Grand Canyon in Northern Arizona and has entertained guests from all over the world. After a successful ten years of ownership and management of ADTI, Chris decided it was time for a drastic career change. As fitness has always been an integral part of her active life style-- from avid hiking, rock climbing, Karate (brown belt) and Yoga-- Chris discovered her true passion for the teaching and practice of Pilates. She decided to become a Pilates Instructor and embarked on an in-depth training program, successfully finishing an intense, all encompassing 500 hour Pilates Certification Course in La Jolla. Being a Pilates Instructor has allowed Chris the joy and fulfillment of educating, motivating and improving the health and fitness lifestyles of her clients. In August of 2007, Chris and her son Alex, along with their two Chihuahuas Lily and Gracie, decided to move permanently to the beach area in San Diego and have enjoyed every moment since.
